Hot New Release DVD - October 23, 2007

PRESALE ALREADY!

Watch it on your TV! DVD Têtes à Claques Vol. 1

Over-the-top "must have" christmas gift item that consumers just won't do without! The box set stores the first 45 clips of the populare site (now up to 70) including Uncle Tom and his Willy Waller, Halloween, Raoul and the remainder of the gang. Exclusive new unreleased videos of Johnny Boy and Cécile, the history of Têtes à claques, character bios, and ENGLISH SUBTITLES, and many more goodies! THAT'S AMAZING!

The Têtes à claques DVD was developed for storing the collectible videos since clips will be selected and removed from the site. A maximum of 60 clips will remain at all time on the site, however, every time a new one will be added another one will be removed amongst the first 45 sketches created. The ones that significantly received less votes and have a low ranking in comparison to the others will be deleted.

The DVD is produced by Salambo Productions and is also available in France. The clips will be viewed on French pay television Canal+ in January 2008.

This will be the hot new item to make it home in Quebec for christmas. It's a relatively rare phenomenon when one item takes shoppers by storm, sending parents scurrying near and far to find a store that's not out of stock of that magical gift. Remember the Cabbage Patch Kids of 1984, Tickle Me Elmo in 1996 and the Furby animals of 1998?

Wrap it up, I'll take it! Tetesaclaques Car.

A combination of product placement, buzz (word of mouth), internet and digital media. All these marketing tools offer the opportunity to communicate and Michel Beaudet knows the formula to capture attention with promotions that are superior with maximum impact.

Benoit Viau in front of the special automobile wrapped at the Grafikart Tradeshow, Place Bonaventure, Montréal, Québec, back in April. «I was going there to give training on digital printing and vinyl graphic installation on cars. When I arrived, they told me that I would have a surprise on Saturday», says the digital graphics artist from Des Ruisseaux, Québec. Both creators of Têtes à claques were there to make a big order; to have a car wrapped up with some of their very famous characters. Both preferred not to be taken in photo wanting to be left behind the scene. «It's one of them who took the picture with me next to the car. If you notice on top of the door, I wasn't done with the wrapping». Article translated from L'Echo de la Lièvre.

A Collector's Item? Will it be for sale on E-Bay?

SFR Marketing and Têtes à claques Animation

"On les a entendus à la radio et vus dans les salles de cinéma. Ils s'affichent désormais en format géant sur les panneaux publicitaires, les abribus, les autobus, sur les portes automatiques à la sortie du métro, sur des cartes postales et même en terrasse sur les tables des bistrots parisiens."

We hear it everyday that France is being bombarded with various marketing tools used by SFR to promote its new site çavaouatcher. Têtes à claques animation is quite visible everywhere. After quite an extensive search on the net, here are a few pictures found in France's bus shelters, bistrots*, and the métro (subway). SFR is also using streetmarketing to promote its wireless company.

Large billboards in the halls and exits of the métro.

* A Bistrot (which apparently means "quick" in Russian) is the French equivalent to the English pub or the American diner.

Thanks to http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcanevet/ for some of these pictures.

You are invited to share your pictures of Têtes à claques paraphenalia on this blog. Please send your photos to whydiamonds@videotron.ca.

Stay tuned for the next post: Têtes à claques automobile, the car that is going around Gatineau, Quebec.

Têtes_à_Claques Videos in France!

http://www.cavaouatcher.fr/

Michel Beaudet, ''You're the Man! The Man is in the House. It's totally insane''!

C'est un fait accompli. L'animation des Têtes à Claques est présentement transporté en France. (Yes, yes, a bit of French for the French visitors, c'est vraiment sharp!)

Smart Move
Just in time for the celebration of the first anniversary of Têtes à Claques, Michel Beaudet has successfully exported his animations to France. It is the result of partnerships with SFR and Dailymotion, a social video site based out of Paris that offers a mix of both amateur and professional content.

To view the funny site: http://www.cavaouatcher.fr/

''SFR Unlimited Text Messaging Young Generation...Attention ça va Watcher''
That is the new slogan used to promote SFR, French mobile phone company (originally Société Française de Radiotéléphonie) national leader in telecommunications, with 18 million client connections across France. It offers a long-range of portable devices used for mobile communication including telephone services, wireless communications, text messaging, etc. SFR is for France what Sympatico/MSN.ca portal is to Canadians.

SFR is promoting its tetesaclaques mobile products with a contest to win a Trip to Canada for two or to win T-Shirts starting August 25, 2007.

Imagine that? A guide has been created as an interpretation tool to help better understand the language used in the tetesaclaques videos. The Glossary contains French Quebec terminology vs France terminology... sort of a French-English dictionnary but it is a French-French dictionnary!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TÊTES À CLAQUES.TV!

Safarir has seen an increase in the sales of their French Canadian comic magazine after publishing 2 issues with Têtes à claques cartoons on its cover.

Back from holidays!

Têtesàclaques.tv just released a new video featuring a guy in the drive-thru. After taking a short break for Summer fun (short for some but rather long for others!) the site is celebrating its 12-month existance in August and the creator, Michel Beaudet, has alot to celebrate about. The risk-taker has seen his financial security growing, growing and still growing! Vacations are usually out of the question for new entrepreneurs. $12 million is good enough though to go out and play and be brave enough to inspire visitors to do the same by promoting to get out and get some fresh air directly on the first page of the site (don't know... throw the baseball or swim in the pool).

CARTOONS - ANOTHER SIGN OF SUCCESS FOR TÊTES À CLAQUES.TV

After making national headlines with its marketing success comes along talented cartoonists awaiting for an opportunity to draw. Well, here are some great cartoons going around.

Thanks to Ygreck man (Yannick Lemay) who granted me permission to publish his Têtes à claques cartoons. He is a very notable cartoonist who produces comic books, editorial cartoons containing canadian political and news cartoons. Some of his drawings can be seen in the Journal du Québec. He also works in courtrooms sketching the faces of defendants, lawyers, and witnesses.

Remember? Fall comes after Summer....... New English Site for Tetesaclaques!

Great PR campaign with a high impact and visual presentation that showcases Têtes à claques historical changing experience. It is brief yet informative of its progress. Included in the video are newspaper articles, T-shirts and their new line of products. Great soundtract. Enjoy!
Video provided by 20minutes.fr.

Michel Beaudet is exporting his clips to French portals where they too (in a month or two) will be able to view clips and have access to a broad array of funny video ring tones and have Johny Boy tell when the cell phone is ringing. Michel Beaudet also took the time to meet with the French media for interviews with 20 Minutes and indicated that he is receiving more e-mails from France than Quebec!

FROM POP-TARTS TO POP STARS

In Quebec, Têtes à claques (http://www.tetesaclaques.tv/), is more visited than YouTube or eBay! With three million visitors per month, Têtes à claques have doubled the sales of Kelloggs Pop-tarts.

They all love Tetes a claques on E-bay! A+++++

What you want at a great price! You need a watch, some Beanie Babies, an old Farrah Fawcet poster or all kinds of knick-knacks? Following Uncle Tom's gadgets bought by the Sepulchre family (highest bidder with two seconds left to go), e-bay.ca popularity has increased enormously. As a matter of fact tetesaclaques site is now advertising e-bay.ca on their home page!

But first, turn your speakers on, crank up the volume and listen to eBay's own song by Weird Al.

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a great Canada Day!

Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day & Têtes à Claques

Happy Saint-Jean-Baptiste!

Every year, on the 24th of June, all Québécois get together with friends and family to celebrate the Fête Nationale (National Holiday); la Saint-Jean-Baptiste. It is a privileged moment to celebrate the cultural pride through colourful parades and lively parties marking the holiday. The traditional celebration is in honour of the Patron Saint of French Canadians, who was officially proclaimed as such by His Holiness Pope Pius X in 1908.

The success of Têtes à Claques has rapidly surpass Quebec borders.
While the nation is busy celebrating its rich heritage, Michel Beaudet is taking the time to travel across the Atlantic on a business trip (on flight DC 132?) to meet with the French Cousins. In France the site has reached close to 1 million visitors. That is just a small evident part of something larger to come. Psst.... there is more than 5 million bloggers in France(Technorati)! Above, is the latest clip about a couple traveling to France.

Did he forget his own?
Considering that timing is everything for the development of the multi-million $ machine that is Tetesaclaques.tv, it is quite surprising that he has not taken the time to create a clip for this special Quebec occasion since clips have been created for X-Mas, New Years, Valentine's day, etc.

Perhaps next year!
Bonne Saint-Jean!

$15,000 to help the Sainte-Justine children's hospital

Wow! What a fantastic Offer by Têtes à Claques!

The Sepulchre family from Montreal, Quebec paid a total of $14 300 CAN to complete the collection of all 3 Uncle Tom's Super Gadgets on e-bay Canada. $8 600 on the «Body Toner Platinum Edition», $3 550 on the «Classical Willi Waller 2006» and yesterday's bid of $2 146 on the «Amazing LCD Shovel 2007» for a total of $14 296. Even eBay Canada pitched in to round it off at $15 000.

Photo: Presse Canadienne
Why pay so much for a fly swatter, a potato peeler and a shovel?

All 3 items were handed to the lucky Sepulchre family in Montreal, Quebec today. Their second child has been diagnosed with autism 7 years ago and the parents wanted to give back to the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation.

Proud Owners or Investors?

All three objects will be exposed at their private Club. Offers have already been made to the Sepulchre to rent the items. All the profit will go directly to the charity.

Wow! Amazing!

News everywhere! Têtes à claques this, TAC that.

So much one can hardly take it all in.

Where to Start? Have you ever had so much to tell that you couldn’t get it out fast enough. Well, there is a lot going on, for sure, with Têtes à claques / Tetesaclaques.tv. It's all happening too fast to keep up with the stories behind the scenes. So I'll point out a few interesting and recent facts that shouldn't slip by:

First, e-bay auction on Le Willi Waller potato peeler ended Monday: Total $3,550 CAN for the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation in Montreal, Canada. Not bad!

Great picture of Michel Beaudet taken at the Gala des Oliviers. Picture From 7jours.

Second, Congratulations to the proud owners David and Céline Sepulchre and their three children Jonathan, Perrick and Arnauld from Montreal, Canada. The family bought the Body Toner Platinum Edition for $8,600 CAN on e-bay. They admit that they would of never considered spending such an amount for a fly swatter if it wasn't for the Children Hospital Foundation.

Third, Analyze that!

Back in April 2007, I posted Têtes à Claques WIN the lottery! Offer 1M$. Hardly one month later, Adviso, a specialized firm in Internet strategy and marketing, estimated that Tetesaclaques.tv is now worth no less than 12,000,000$. Here is how they came up with the figures. Estimating a 200,000$ profit per month multiplied by 12 months = 2,4 million/year plus the market value estimated up to 10 times the annual revenue!

Last but not least: Céline Dion lightens up and makes fun of the Halloween sketch from Têtes à claques. Her husband René Angélil and the croud enjoy every moment. Yes, it is in French! WOW, c'est pas BEAUTIFUL ça!

Refreshing pops and Têtes à Claques.tv

I GOT MY SIX PACK MADE OF GLASS!

Monique, Raoul and the Captain of DC-132 are very excited to have their face put on soda pop bottles!

Fresh and Fun!

Couche-Tard, one of Canada's largest convenient store chains, Lassonde Inc, packagers of Oasis, Rougement and Everfresh, and Têtes à Claques partnered up for the production of Fruite-Bulles, fruit-flavoured drinks. The drinks are sold as of today in Couche-Tard corner stores and come in three flavours: orange, cream soda, and grape. It is the second business agreement with the company Lassonde from Québec (the 1st was a Fruité juice placed in one of the Tetesaclaques clips). The sequence of events was only logical to have the flight captain on the grape bottle since the popular clip included an incident with a grape juice from Lassonde. "There is no atomic bomb in the canisse".

Limited stock and edition:
Only available during the Summer 2007 - Total production of 600 000 bottles!

Business is booming indeed!

Kellogg has seen an increase in the sell of Pop-Tarts with the Halloween clip and will have a contest in June on the Tetesaclaques.tv web site. The winner will receive a one-year supply.

How about T-SHIRTS? Zellers will have them in July!

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!

WOO! Very exciting news indeed!

This Year's Olivier Winner is not Michel Beaudet

This is what I had planned to post.

CONGRATULATIONS! MICHEL BEAUDET IS THE WINNER !!! L'OLIVIER DE L'ANNÉE 2007.

Perhaps next year since the award was presented to les Grandes gueules. They were particularly distinguished with the official Olivier.
Mario Tessier and Gaudet obtained the Olivier of the year for their exceptional contribution to the Québécois humour. They also gained an award for this year's humour album of the year. They recently put an end to their 15 year daily radio show.

Michel Beaudet arriving at the Gala today, May 27, 2007 and Têtes à Claques' latest crue!

Also view his interview.

What a sport, Michel Beaudet presented an award with the help of Uncle Tom's Doodely Polisher. A feather duster to polish the statuette. Once scrubed, the Olivier award transforms into an Oscar! Wow! Amazing! Does it work in reverse also?

You may view Michel's interview (in French) right here.

Once again congratulations for being nominated. Better luck next year!
